Our Literacy Program Was A Huge Hit With Families!

In January we launched our newest program all about literacy! We spent four sessions helping our families develop the tools they need to support their child’s literacy growth at home! We started with building our understanding of literacy and its importance to our success in life and then we got clear on what it means for our children to be proficient readers and were able to practice the different reading components our children need to be successful in reading. We learned tools and strategies to support our kids at home and learned strategies to partner with the schools our children attend to hold them accountable to strong reading instruction and growth. Our families dove right into the material with eager participation! They were excited to practice and engage with one another as well model certain techniques out loud for the group!
