At a pivotal 2021 press conference with Governor McKee, our CEO Janie Segui Rodriguez — an Afro-Latinx mother and advocate — delivered a powerful call to action:
“Does your social justice allow you to critically analyze the institutions you hold dear, to challenge them, to hold them accountable? Or do you simply absolve them, blindly?”
