Meet Our Families
The heart of Stop the Wait RI isn’t just our work — it’s the families who power it.
Bloom Where You're Celebrated: Moms Make Their Own Bouquets This Mother's Day 2026
This Mother's Day, we wanted to do more than just say thank you — we wanted to hand our mothers something they rarely get to choose for themselves: a moment that's entirely theirs.
The mothers in our community work tirelessly. They advocate, they show up, they carry more than anyone sees. So this year, we invited them to slow down and create something beautiful — hand-selecting every stem, every color, every detail of their own bouquet. No assumptions about what they'd like. No one arranging it for them. Just them, choosing joy for themselves for once.
They snapped Polaroids with their kids, shared a lunch together as a family, and the children made their own sundaes. Moms give so much of their time to everyone else, and on this day, it was about giving them a little of it back.
To every mom who advocates, who works hard, and who deserves a bouquet built entirely around what makes her smile — this Mother's Day, we celebrate you. 💐
Vision board party
At the end of 2025, our families came together for a vision board gathering—creating space to reflect, connect, and set intentions for the year ahead.
Moments like these remind us of the power of community and what’s possible when families come together around shared hopes for their children and their schools.
A moment to pause and give thanks to the incredible parents who show up, speak out, and lead. Together, we celebrate their impact while creating space to build new relationships and strengthen our community.
This event is truly led by families—parents helped plan it, brought food to share, and shaped the experience from start to finish. What began as their idea became a powerful gathering that reflects the strength, leadership, and unity of our community.
2025 Parentsgiving
Summer 2025 visit to the Boston Museum of Science
20 families participated in a field trip to the Boston Museum of Science — and for nearly every family, it was their first time ever going.
Watching parents and children explore together, ask questions, and imagine new possibilities was a reminder that access and exposure change lives.
